OUR STORY

How it all started...

In September of 2008, Orchard Christian Fellowship began with a group of people eager to follow Jesus. We did it without having a permanent building. It was a leap of faith and a new chapter in the story of the Gospel in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Our purpose is to Love God, Love People and Live God's Message. Practically, that means that we help one another grow in faith, encourage acts of service inside and outside the fellowship, and share our faith with those people who are uncertain regarding what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We think this purpose is one of the reasons why our fellowship has so many members active in ministries that serve families in need, children in foster care, single moms, the elderly, and our neighbors in our communities. Our fellowship knows that faith doesn't end with Sunday morning worship. It's a way of life you live every day.

In 2012, we began developing our facilities and property. We began with a large multi-purpose space dedicated to the worship of Jesus and its regular use by many groups within our community.

Our pastor is Rev. Ken Glasier. His preaching style combines subtlety and reflection with humor and candor. His sermons are not "pie in the sky" lectures but, instead, they're messages that speak to people in their everyday lives with all of life's conflicts, confusions, hopes, and surprises. Ken has served in a variety of roles during his career in ministry including associate and senior pastorates. Additionally, he has worked in hurricane restoration, missionary work with medical clinics, and construction projects. He has also ministered in Mississippi as well as the countries of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, India, Macedonia and Bangladesh. Ken is a graduate of Denver Seminary and of Regent University. He has recently begun the Living Well Center - a Christian counseling and coaching center for families and individuals.

How it's going...

In 2023, The Orchard opened up additional space for our Children’s Ministry, a preschool called Orchard Kids, additional meeting spaces and offices.  We are also actively pursuing being a “church of small groups”. This means that The Orchard is growing bigger and smaller at the same time with smaller groups called ROOTs Communities connecting people together as we Love God, Love People and Live God’s Message. Community awaits you at The Orchard!
