Our Mission Statement: Jesus gives a clear explanation of what He desires from us, found in the Great Commission….”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20, NIV
Purpose: Our Children’s Ministry will supplement the family in reaching children (evangelism) and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ (discipleship).
We will strive to accomplish this through Core Values:
- We are a child-targeted ministry
- Lessons will be relevant to today’s kids
- We will teach the Bible creatively
- We wll intentionally shepherd children through small groups
- We will keep children spiritually, emotionally, and physically safe
- Our Ministry will be FUN!
“Connecting Kids to God and Others”
Our goal is to connect kids to God by winning them to Christ and then growing them spiritually. We realize this can be achieved best through relationships: Connecting kids with adult and teen leaders who have a passion for investing in the lives of children and providing opportunities for kids to connect with each other!
To encourage and foster this mentoring and discipleship opportunities, we offer the following groups for children throughout the week….
Kidz Time 2.0 is offered during the 9 AM worship service on Sunday mornings throughout the year. Kids are dismissed following the “Kidz Sermon” portion of the service, and head off to a classroom where they will have a chance to engage in an age appropriate Bible lesson and activity! PLEASE NOTE: Kidz Time does not meet on the first Sunday of the month, so that they may participate in communion with their families.
Children ages 3 through 5th grade are welcome to join us for their own age-appropriate discipleship and fellowship time at OrchardKidz! These meetings include games, lessons, and snacks. They are led by Orchard teens with the guidance of adult volunteers. Meets weekly during the school year, with special events throughout the summer months. Contact Nicole for the schedule.
Moms/Caretakers are invited to join us for this super casual weekly get together where kids can play and adults can be with other grown-ups! Meets weekly during the school year, with special events/get togethers in the summer. Contact Nicole for the schedule.
